My Work

Manu Carpentry

I specialize in finish carpentry: cabinet installation, built-ins, interior doors, trim, and stairs. I began working in the trades after helping friends build a root cellar in the high desert of Colorado in 1999. Since then, I’ve worked on all types of residential jobs, on large crews and small ones. In 2014 I started Manu Carpentry LLC and have since worked primarily as a subcontractor. Gratitude to the women, trans people, and gnc folks who built the path I am walking.

Community Work

I am a worker bee in the struggle for social justice. My values are rooted in Black and Indigenous liberation movements, past and present, local and global. I am inspired by the legacies of Josina Machel, Audre Lorde, Chrystos, Leila Khaled, Bo Brown, and Irena Klepfisz. I am honored to learn alongside the brilliant people in Relationships Evolving Possibilities (REP), partner with other Jews in the anti-Zionist movement, pay back rent to Makoce Ikikcupi, and collaborate with neighbors to change a street name in Minneapolis to Oyáte Avenue.
